Boarding

Manor Veterinary Hospital offers separate dog and cat boarding facilities. This ensures your pet has the most stress-free stay possible. Although you are welcome to bring your pet’s favorite food, your nightly boarding rate does include food.

Boarding fees are charged by the night and scheduling in advance is recommended.

We feed Royal Canin Veterinary Diets to boarding pets. These diets are specially formulated to provide easy digestion, as we know being away from home can be scary and stressful. If your pet is on a veterinary prescription diet, we encourage you to bring enough food for the duration of your pet’s stay to eliminate any interruption in their prescribed feeding needs.

Your dog will be taken outside 5-6 times daily. This will give them an opportunity to eliminate as well as to enjoy some fresh air and exercise. Our Kennel Technicians will gladly play with your pet during these exercise times so bring that favorite ball or toy!

Of course, we encourage you to bring any item that might make your pet’s stay with us more comfortable. Whether that is a favorite toy, treat, bed or blanket, we want your pet to be happy and enjoy their stay with us!

We do require all dogs who board with us be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. All cats are required to be current on Rabies and Feline Distemper (FVRCP) vaccinations. For the welfare of our hospital patients and your pet, we do require all pets to have a current exam (within 12 months) with one of our Veterinarians. Please be aware that if your pet needs a Rabies vaccine an exam by a Veterinarian is required by law. If needed, we can administer these vaccines when you drop your pet off for boarding.

For the wellbeing of all pets in our care, if your dog or cat has external parasites (such as fleas) upon arrival for boarding, a flea/tick preventative will be administered at the owner’s expense. If your dog is not current on a heartworm preventative that controls internal parasites, a deworming medicine will be administered at the owner’s expense.

Please note:
If your pet requires medication while boarding, there will be an additional per night charge for this service.
If your pet is in heat during their boarding time, there will be an additional charge.
