Surgery

Manor Veterinary Hospital performs surgery Monday through Friday. For surgical procedures we request that you drop your pet off with us in the morning between 7am and 9am. Your pet is usually ready for pickup between 5:30pm and 6pm, depending on the surgery performed. Whether your surgical need is a routine procedure, such as a spay or neuter, an acute or emergency situation, we can accommodate any need that arises.

Manor Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer the latest in technological advances in surgery. We offer the use of a carbon dioxide (CO2) surgical laser for your procedure. The surgical laser is the primary device for soft tissue surgery in small and mixed animal practices. Use of the laser is the alternative to the traditional scalpel method. This method is recognized in human and veterinary medicine for the significant benefits it provides to both patients and surgeons.

Although there is an additional fee for use of the CO2 laser during surgery, there are many benefits such as:

Reduced Pain

The CO2 laser beam seals nerve endings as it cuts through tissue. This reduces the amount of pain the patient feels during and after surgery.

We also provide any pet who requires hospitalization with us a comfortable, warm place to rest and recover. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is in the heart of the hospital where your patient will receive constant care from our trained staff. While we do not have 24 hour care, we do work with several facilities for care when we are closed. We simply transfer your pet for overnight care.
