Ja’Keem has been around animals his whole life from helping/working rodeos and raising chickens in FFA to volunteering with the Austin Humane Society. He is currently a Junior at Texas State University pursuing a major in Wildlife Biology. At home he has an adorable rat terrier mix and a cat adopted from MVH. Ja’Keem loves what he does because at a young age he saw how human activity can negatively impact the animals around us. However, he was also exposed to the positive impacts that we have the ability to make. He loves what he does because no matter how big or small his impact is, he knows that his contribution helps to improve the lives of those whom he believes we have a moral obligation to enrich.
